The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been invited by the CID for questioning over an alleged cybercrime report.
The Cyber-crime Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) extended the invitation to Mr Gyamfi after a complaint was filed by the Jubilee House.
Police of the CID unit is refusing to give more details pertaining to the invitation or the alleged crime. They, however, say, Mr Gyamfi is only needed to assist in investigations into the complaint made from the seat of government.
Telephone calls to both Mr Gyamfi and the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Mr Eugene Arhin, yielded no response.
The Information Minister, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah could also not confirm the basis of the report made.
