Rapper Sarkodie on Thursday, November 5, 2020, tweeted “No. 1” and instantly divided opinions on Twitter.
It is unclear if the rapper’s tweet was a campaign for Akufo-Addo, who is number one on the ballot paper, or he was referring to the ratings of his new song titled ‘Happy Day’ on YouTube.
With a smiling face emoji, he typed “No.1” on his Twitter page with over 4 million followers.
Many have concluded that he was referring to President Nana Akufo-Addo’s position on the ballot paper.
Before the tweet, Sarkodie released a song titled ‘Happy Day’ to support Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The song was released on November 2, and and it sent social media into a frenzy for hours.
On “Happy Day” which features Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie endorsed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Akufo-Addo and asked that he be given a second term.
He also praised the president for keeping a stable supply of electricity as well as providing free Senior High School education.
