Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Tourism Authority, Akwasi Agyeman, says there is nothing wrong with a porn star visiting Ghana for the ‘Year of Return’.
He was reacting to rumors concerning a popular porn star, Byron Long’s intended visit to Ghana.
Byron Long indicated he will be heading to Ghana this December 2019 as part of the ‘Year of Return’ campaign.
A photo of him with the flag of Ghana stating his intention to join other African Americans for the program on social media attracted diverse reactions.
However, the CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority in an interview stated that the porn star cannot be stopped as far as he has been granted visa and he is law abiding.

‘Is pornography legal in where he is coming from? If it is, then he comes to Ghana and visits the castle or visits a place, what is wrong with that?’, he quizzed.
Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Tourism Authority, Akwasi Agyeman, also admitted that the ‘Year of Return’ activities opens up the country to possible terrorist attacks and other crimes.
‘Once we open up our country for tourism, all kinds of people. Even the risk of people with dodgy characters, potential terrorists, all of them are going to look at Ghana as a destination’, he stated.
Akwasi Agyeman was quick to add that his outfit is working with the security agencies to curb some of these crimes.
