Astute music producer Mark Okraku-Mantey is elated after receiving his first batch of royalty for producing Sarkodie’s ‘Party & Bullsh#t’.

The banging tune which features Idris Elba and Donae’o was released in October 2019.

Just after the tune was released, Sarkodie took to Twitter to reveal Okraku-Mantey’s instrumental role in the production of the song.

Almost a year later, the rapper has handed Okraku-Mantey’s first share of royalties accrued on digital stores to him.

He received a sum of £500 from Sarkodie’s team.

The astute music producer was happy with the gesture by Sarkodie and encouraged other Ghanaian artists to do same.

It is believed that the money was accrued from sales in foreign countries and collected by international music rights societies.

This news comes at a time when the local rights collection society in Ghana, GHAMRO, is struggling to pay musicians their royalties.
