Photos from Sir John’s ‘one-week’ celebration

Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John died on the 1st of July, 2020 after contracting the deadly coronavirus disease.

In this regard and as has become the norm, a ‘one-week’ commemoration service was held yesterday for the former statesman and politician,at Sakrawono in the Ashanti Region.

Sources say Sir John succumbed to complications of the disease while undergoing treatment at the ICU of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Until his death, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie was the CEO of the Forestry Commission.
