‘Plumbing is an elite business’ – President of CIPHE-GH

President of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering-Ghana (CIPHE-GH), Joshua Nyamavor, has dispelled claim that plumbing is a profession for school dropouts.

According to him, plumbing and heat engineering is an elite business and must not be disregarded.

”There are certain people they don’t really understand that plumbing is an elite business…We are trying to have people educated to understand that plumbing is elite profession”

”It is a profession that has a direct impact on human life. So we should learn it and work with caution”, he said.

Joshua Nyamavor stressed that value should be added to the profession by ensuring that members receive the right training and education.

”We have great section of plumbers who didn’t go through the formal training system. The formal training system too a lot of them are not having good practical experience”, he added.

The President of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering-Ghana encouraged plumbers to acquire modern training to add value to the profession.

Joshua Nyamavor revealed organization is working to improve the level of training and education among plumbers in Ghana.
