Police arrest 120 persons in East Legon operation

The Ghana Police Service has arrested 120 persons, including six females, during an operation aimed at clamping down on illicit drugs and criminal gangs. 

The operation took place at the East Legon enclave around 1800 hours on December 25, 2025. 

According to a police brief, the suspects have been sent to the East Legon Police Station for screening to identify those connected to various crimes and individuals involved in illicit drug activities.

The exercise was led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Saviour Ahiamdi, together with other senior officers.
