Police arrest two in investigation into missing couple

The Ghana Police Service has taken two suspects into custody in connection with the mysterious disappearance of a prominent couple, Dr. Jesse Amuah and Mrs. Elizabeth Esi Amuah.

The investigation began on April 22, 2026, after a formal complaint revealed the couple had not been seen or heard from since March 23.

According to the complainant, the couple’s residence was found locked, and their vehicle, a Nissan Sunny with registration number GX 159-X, was missing from the premises.

A specialized task force, comprising the Missing Persons Unit, the Anti-Armed Robbery Unit, and the Crime Scene Management Team, was immediately deployed to lead the search.

Forensic teams have processed the couple’s residence for clues.

Following several leads, the team apprehended two individuals whose names are currently being withheld to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.

The suspects are cooperating with authorities as police intensify efforts to locate the Amuahs.

The Ghana Police Service is urgently requesting the public’s assistance.
