Assailants of a Police Constable, Julius Mawuli Ekpe have been found guilty by the Weija Circuit Court.
The two assailants, a driver and his mate were captured in a video that later went viral, assaulting the police officer.
They assaulted Constable Ekpe whilst he was on duty at the Mallam Junction.
Francis Buabeng and Albert Andah were spared jail time by the court after the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) paid the set court fine of ¢3,600 cedis.
The two would have spent up to a year each in jail if the set fine had not been paid by them or on their behalf.
