President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday began his one-day official visit to Paris with a meeting with the President of the French Senate, Gerard Larcher.
A statement issued by Ghana’s Presidency said President Mahama was welcomed with a military ceremony before the bilateral meeting, which discussed, among others, trade and investment, regional security and the fight against terrorism, France support for maternal health and agriculture in Ghana and the remarkable improvement to Ghana’s economy under President Mahama.
President Mahama and his delegation, includes Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Foreign Minister; Mr Douglas Prosper Bani, the National Security Advisor and Dr Callistus Mahama, the Executive Secretary to the President.

Others are Mrs Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Presidential Advisor and Special Aide to the President and Madam Mavis Frimpong, Ghana’s Ambassador to France, would later Wednesday hold talks with the French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace.
