The Ministry of Information in its bi-weekly updates on the Coronavirus, today, gave chop bars, eateries, restaurants, event and tourism centres the green light to operate.
The go-ahead to operate did not come without the necessary protocols and standards expected to be applied by these businesses to remain in operation.
The President on March 15th, shut down all social gatherings in Ghana in a bid to curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus.
Taking to its Twitter page to update followers, the Ministry wrote:
Food and beverage (restaurants, chop bars, snack bars) 1. All food and beverage establishments (restaurants, chop bars, highway rest stops, fast foods, coffee/tea shops, snack bars, may operate with the following guidelines;
Display of “no mask no entry” signage and ensure that all patrons are wearing masks on entry.
Night clubs and drinking bars, despite the lifting of some restrictions are to remain closed until such a time when announced.
The Ministry tweeted;
