Musician Ama Rasta believes that Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), Rex Omar, is worsening the plight of Ghanaian musicians.

According to her, Rex Omar’s management of the collective society is appalling and his intention is to ‘kill’ musicians.

“The way Rex is dealing with us at GHAMRO is very bad. Rex came to kill us,” she said on Happy FM.

The singer made this statement after she received GHc 290 from GHAMRO as royalties.

Ama Rasta claims she deserves more than the GHC 290 paid her by GHAMRO as a musician and producer.

“I had 290 Ghana Cedis. I believe I must get more because I produce myself and I am a musician,” she stated.

The artiste said she received between 600 to 700 cedis for being a musician and producer respectively under the past GHAMRO leadership and does not understand why her fortunes have dwindled this time around.

Ama Rasta curses GHAMRO

Earlier, Ama Rasta cursed GHAMRO after they failed to pay her royalties at the expected time.

The singer stormed the premises of the organization on January 8, 2020 with a bottle of dry gin and some eggs in hand and cursed leadership of the GHAMRO.
