Mr Samuel Nartey George, the Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency, has organised his annual Livelihood Support Programme to empower residents of the constituency and promote sustainable economic growth.

The programme, held at New Ningo, forms part of his efforts to reduce poverty by supporting individuals to establish new businesses and strengthen existing ones through targeted financial and material assistance.

Mr George, who is also the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, said the initiative was designed to promote financial independence and improve the standard of living of beneficiaries by providing practical tools and start-up capital.

The programme also provided two professional hair dryers to support the beauty and cosmetics sector.

In addition, an amount of GH¢500,000 was distributed among 63 beneficiaries, to enable them to expand their businesses, improve operations and increase customer reach.

The Ningo-Prampram MP said the programme reflected his continued commitment to the welfare and economic empowerment of the people of Ningo-Prampram, noting that strengthening small-scale businesses contributed significantly to local development and job creation.
