National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has been granted bail after he was picked up by the CID yesterday, January 27th.
He was arrested by the Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) after a program on UTV.
The CID had invited Sammy Gyamfi over to their offices to answer some questions regarding allegations of forgery and false publication, in December 2019.
He had however, refused to honour the invitation of the police command and hence was picked up after his show at UTV, on Monday morning.
After hours of being held by the CID, Sammy Gyamfi was granted bail and the outspoken communicator said:
“I’m not a criminal…I have never committed a crime; no amount of concocted and fabricated stories from the Flagstaff House can intimidate me or silence me”.
According to him, the presidency was the brain behind his arrested and he said, he will not be intimidated in any way by the presidency.
