Sampa chieftaincy clash: Court remands three suspects

The Sunyani District Court ‘B’ has remanded three suspects into police custody for their alleged involvement in the Sampa Chieftaincy clash in the Jaman North District of the Bono Region.

Suspects Alhassan Issah 25, Luis Kwame Antwi 24, and Yussif Ahmed had been charged with conspiracy to commit crime, causing harm, causing damage, assault and stealing, and they would re-appear before the court on November 10, 2025.

A statement issued and signed by Chief inspector Thomas Akeelah, the Public Relations Officer of the Bono Regional Police administration, said the suspects were arrested at their hideout on November 4, 2025.

The police are still searching for other accomplices currently at large, a copy of the statement made available to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Sunyani stated.

Sampa Township, the capital of the Jaman North District, had been characterised by recurring clashes emanating from the supporters of the feuding traditional factions of a protracted chieftaincy dispute in the area.
