Award Winning radio personality and reggae artiste, Blakk Rasta has confessed he has never been a fan of Shatta Wale’s music. The controversial and boisterous radio host made this revelation when he appeared on the entertainment review segment of Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana show.

He explained that his disdain for SM boss’ music has nothing to do with the personality of the artiste himself. He admitted that Shatta Wale is a multi-talented individual, whom he likes him as a person. But his songs do not not resonate  with him, which is why he hardly plays his songs on his show. He added that regardless of what he think, Shatta Wale is a great artiste who has a massive fan base.

He said “I don’t like Shatta Wale. He is a great artiste, no two ways about that. But his songs don’t touch me. He knows this himself.”

He briefly touched on Stonebwoy and his new wave of music; expressing his disappoint in what appears to be the “Ololo” hit-maker’s new musical direction. He added that Stonebwoy is aware for it and they have had conversation on it.

Still speaking to Metro TV’s Jacklyn Acquaye, Blakk Rasta disclosed that his taste of music is inspired by the divine. According to him, God inspires him listen to and like certain kinds of music and artiste, and no degree of mortal pressure can bend him the other way.

He proclaimed his love Highlife music and named Amandzeba, Paapa Yankson and Rex Omar as some of his best artiste for their musicality and lyrical content.
