Self-acclaimed dancehall king of Ghana, Shatta Wale is said to have been paid a whopping GH₵400,000 (US$ 70,000)to perform at the Accra Sports Stadium today.

Shatta is expected to perform before the Ghana Premiere League game between Legon Cities FC and Asante Kotoko.

The whopping amount of money was paid to the artist by new owners of the revamped Legon Cities FC, who were previously called Wa All-Stars.

This move we believe is to pull in the crowd to watch the first official game of the team since its official unveiling and Shatta is the one artist who controls the streets and can bring in the numbers.

As to whether Shatta Wale is a brand ambassador of the team or not, we can not tell. But the team posted a video of him on twitter hyping up the game, whilst wearing the team jersey.
