Shatta Wale could not hold back his tears after meeting one of his die-hard fans who has a tattoo of him on his back.

Liman Akwara, a trotro driver, on Friday surprised his passengers when he parked suddenly to go after Shatta Wale.

The passengers from Lapaz to Accra had their journey cut short in front of Joy FM when the driver of the vehicle redirected his vehicle to kokomlemle because he heard Shatta wale was visiting Hitz FM.

He instructed his mate to refund the lorry fare to the passengers so they can disembark.

According to broadcast journalist George Addo Jnr, who witnessed the incident, the driver told the passengers to get off his vehicle because he was not interested in driving them to their destinations anymore.

The trotro driver tried to enter the media giant’s offices to see his superstar but was prevented by security.

George Addo Jnr. later rushed to the Hitz FM studio while Shatta Wale was being interviewed on DaybreakHitz to narrate the incident.

Host of the show, Andy Dosty, and Shatta Wale asked that the driver be allowed to join them in the studio.

When he was ushered in, he took off his shirt to unveil a tattoo of Shatta Wale on his back.

Kneeling before him, he cried out saying: “I don’t want money… my God, oh Lord! I’ve looked for you for years. I beg you, it’s not because of your money. I’ve seen my star, I am done. Thanks for making me meet him.”

When Shatta Wale asked for his contact details, he said he was just okay meeting him: “I don’t have a number, I’m okay, just go.”

Shatta Wale was overwhelmed by the fan’s gestures and started to shed tears.

“You know me when I cry my face is not nice. In life, I just don’t know… this is why I want to show everybody love because it’s nice to love. When I see people like this doing this to me, sometimes I ask myself, who at all is Shatta Wale. I keep asking myself questions…”

“I just want to help because people like this you should imagine where they’re from and see if he’s okay. See his tattoo on his back. That’s why I pray for God to bless us so we also bless some people. I don’t want to cry plenty, don’t clean my make-up.”
