Ghanaian artiste, Akoo Nana has voiced his opinion on the ban of fellow artistes Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy from the 2020 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Speaking in an interview with Sammy Kay at the launch of TraceGhana, Akoo Nana expressed disappointment at the decision of the VGMA board to ban both artistes, rather than probably warning them.
He stated that Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are part of the few artistes currently lifting high the flag of Ghana and hence the VGMA board should have been more considerate in their choice of punishment.
He added that the love and support Ghanaians show to both artistes is so massive to the extent that if Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are to hold a concert on the same day of the VGMA, people will patronise their concert and boycott Charter house’s VGMA.
“If Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale should decide to have a free concert at the Dome on the same day of the VGMAs, you will see how empty the auditorium of the VGMA will be, because they crazy a massive fan base,” Akoo Nana said.
