Ghanaian songstress Sherifa Gunu has expressed her frustration on air after the Canadian Embassy failed to give her a visa to travel for a show.
Sherifa, one of Ghana’s biggest musical exports spoke to Number 1 FM in Accra about her situation.
According to her, the Canadian Embassy has kept her passport for over two weeks which has caused her to miss about two shows in other parts of the world.
“You cannot keep an artiste’s passport for even two weeks because we roam. I have missed two shows because my passport is with the Canada embassy” she said.
Sherifa in her rant added that she is not the only victim of this unfortunate situation.
Her dancers as well as fellow musician Ras Kuuku also have their passports being withheld by the Canadian Embassy.
