For four years, one of Ghana’s biggest female artistes, Sista Afia, says she has been ignored by the board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
The singer has had hits like ‘Jeje’, ‘Weather’ and ‘Corner Corner’ within fours in the music industry.
According to her, she has filed for nominations for the awards for the past four years.
However, Sista Afia reveals that the board of the Ghana Music Awards seems to have ignored her.
“I have filed for awards at the VGMA before. But for the past four years, I have never been nominated for the VGMA awards”, she said on Happy FM.
Sista Afia is hopeful of breaking her VGMA nomination jinx this year as the scheme celebrates 21 years.
“This year my management have filed for the awards. I have hope this year”, she added.
The singer dominated the airwaves with her tune titled ‘Weather’ which features rapper Medikal in 2019.
