In a press release titled ‘The Stolen Verdict’, chiefs and people of the Somé of the traditional areas in the Ketu South Municipality have vowed to never compete in the annual pageant show organized by Media General.

The chiefs allege, their representative for this year, born Anita Mawuena Bossoh, put on a splendid performance from the start of the competition right down till the end.

They claim they closely monitored the progress of their contestant and did their best to support her via votes and words of encouragement and were thus, very happy with her performance.

Members of the general public shared the same sentiments with them by continuously voting massively for Enam throughout the competition. Enam on several occasions topped the voting charts with wide margins.

According to them, they realized on countless occasions actions on the parts of the organizers that sought to sabotage Enam’s possible emergence as winner of the competition.

“There is no doubt that there was an ORCHESTRATED and WELL-EXECUTED plan to deny ENAM the crown, and us, the voters/texters huge sums of money for the benefit of TV3s favourite in the competition”, they said.

They went on to emphasize their stance saying, “We the chiefs and People of the SoméTraditional Area have advised ourselves and henceforth, no citizen of Somé will or shall ever participate in any competition organised by the TV3 network”.

In their opinion, the Ghana’s Most Beautiful program will never be the same from now onwards, asking TV3 to mark their words.

The 2019 Ghana’s Most Beautiful pageant was on the theme: ‘Black and Proud’ and had had 16 contestants from all the regions of Ghana.

Contestants were charged to project their cultures and values to the world.

Enam came in second place, losing the crown to Ekua Mends Bannerman from The Central Region of Ghana.
