South-West Business District of MTN stocks hospitals with blood 

Mr Prince Owusu Nyarko, the Senior Manager of the South-West Business District of the MTN says, the company is not only connecting people to people but also their health. 

He said, the company continued to raise pints of blood in fulfilment of a desire to contribute to an active and healthy population, which would intend drive business growth. 

Mr Owusu Nyarko was speaking at the Saint John’s school site in Takoradi, where the Business District had organised a Blood donation, to stock some selected hospitals in the Western and Western North Regions.

He indicated that MTN, in its 30 years of existence had used 15 years to invest in the health of the populace through various health initiatives and supplies, with the annual blood donation standing so tall among the interventions.  

This year, the company hoped to raise some 7000 pints of Blood across 42 centres to save lives. 

He said blood, continued to be essential commodity in the delivery of quality health care, yet a scarce resource requiring institutions and some individuals to fill in the gap all year round in hospitals across the country.
