Stanbic Bank donates GHC 400,000 relief items to NADMO

Stanbic Bank Ghana has donated GHC 400,000 in flood and fire relief supplies to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) following the June 3 disaster in Accra.

The heavy rains, followed by a subsequent fire outbreak, led to widespread displacement, loss of livelihoods, and severe hardship for residents and market traders.

The bank’s intervention includes Wellington boots, raincoats, life jackets, mattresses, blankets, toiletries, mosquito repellent, rice, cooking oil, tomato puree, canned fish, and dignity kits.

Handing over the items to NADMO, the Stanbic Bank Ghana CEO, Kwamina Asomaning, stated: “Our purpose is clear: Ghana is our home, and we drive her growth. Natural disasters are unforeseen and can derail progress.

“This GHC 400,000 support reaffirms our commitment to community well-being, which is central to our mission. We stand with affected families and NADMO to restore dignity and stability.”

The bank invested GHC 8.86 million in social impact initiatives in 2025. This latest donation reinforces Stanbic’s role as a trusted partner in national resilience.
