Dancehall artiste, Epixode, has counted the absence of dancehall gods, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale from this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards as a blessing.

Speaking in an interview with JoyNewa, he said the ban is a blessing in disguise for other artistes including himself.

Epixode said:

“Their absence from the awards is not going to change anything in their careers because they have already won so many of these awards. But, it is also giving chance and space to other artistes to also be seen and heard.”

According to the dancehall artiste, he sees no need to feel bad for them, he would have, if they were new artistes.

After earning a nomination in the Dancehall/Reggae Artiste of the Year category, Epixode appeal to others to allow him to win this for the first time.
