Entertainment pundit and event planner, Whitney Boakye Mensah has advised fans against pressurising Yvonne Nelson to get married.
This comes after the actress confronted a follower who suggested that she is ageing and needs to settle with a man.
But clapping back at the fan, Yvonne Nelson wrote:
‘Marriage-like I always say isn’t an achievement for me. Real love, kids, an education and happiness are! You cant tell me how to live my life. The SOCIETY you wanna please so much will kill you one day. No one cares about you anyway. I’ll LIVE the way I want it. I can do the so-called marriage when it feels RIGHT TO ME”.
Commenting on the matter, Whitney said taking on a celebrity status and not being married makes it worse, especially for women.
She said anytime a celebrity posts something on social media, there are people whose only mission is to go and comment and ask them ‘when are you getting married?’
The showbiz pundit added that the situation is not same when it comes to male celebrities.
She added that when the celebrity gets married, the pressure doesn’t end because fans start asking when they will have children.
