It is said that making witty comments deliberately intended to make people laugh is not an easy task.
Also, it is so discouraging when a comedian cracks his best jokes and the audience refuse to even giggle.
What hurts such an entertainer the most is when he or she is labeled as ‘not funny’.
This is the worry of young Ghanaian-Nigerian comedienne, Jancita Ocansey.
She is not happy with critics who have described she and other Ghanaian comedians as humorless.
“You cannot just watch one show of a person and then conclude that they are not funny,” she said on Joy Prime.
According to her, “even top comedians like Kevin Hart who made a joke about LGBT and received some backlash for it does not mean he is not funny.”
Jacinta wants Ghanaians to stop comparing them to foreign comedians and rather support their craft.
