Suspected coronavirus patients in Ghana test negative

Two patients who were reported to have gone to the Korle Bu teaching hospital in Accra, Ghana with symptoms of the Coronavirus have tested negative for the virus according to officials at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR).

The two – a Chinese and an Argentine – who live together in the same house in Ghana, were isolated at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and their blood samples were taken and sent to the medical research institute on Wednesday.

An earlier suspected case of the virus recorded at one of the country’s points of entry, the Kotoka International Airport (KIA), has also been declared negative.
