Tema, the city that has produced many of Ghana’s lyrical gems is set to hold a music awards show of its own.
The awards scheme has been set aside to recognize and celebrate the hard work and outstanding music of artists in Tema and its environs.
The awards scheme being organized by 90 Degrees Tribe and powered by Sound Masters is the maiden edition of the TEMA MUSIC AWARDS. According to the organizers, it is designed to appreciate and award all forms of ‘’TEMA-MADE MUSIC’’, musicians, sound engineers, producers, instrumentalist, music groups, promoters, DJs etc.
The target area for the scheme is Tema Communities, Spintex, Lashibi, Ashiaman, Dawhwenya, Prampram, Ada, Sakumono, Tema Newtown, Kpone, Golf City, Afienya, Mitchell Camp and its suburb.
The launch of the Awards scheme was held at the Royal Nick Hotel and graced by the presence of Gedu Blay Ambuley, who was the chairman of the launch, A. B Crentsil, Dr Cryme, Kwesi Pee and Mr Ekow Blankson as the chairman of the board of trustees.
Other artists who passed through the launch were; Stay Jay, Dade Opanka, Posi Gee, Piesie, Macho Rapper among others.
