Ghanaian artist and co-founder of Koaba, a made in Ghana rice, Trigmatic, says locally produced rice is better than those imported into the country.
The artist in 2017 launched a campaign dubbed ‘Grow Ghana, Eat Ghana’ to promote farming among the youth.
Trigmatic had announced that he had commenced work on his 4-acre rice farm.
Produce from the farm are ready and Ghanaians can purchase Trigmatic’s Koaba rice from the market.
According to him, local rice smells and tastes better than most perfume rice which is imported into the country annually.
“People are now getting to understand the thing with local rice, the 1.2B annually importation of foreign rice is crazy. That money can be pumped into the local industry for us to do better…the truth of the matter is that our rice is as good as any other rice,” the rapper said.
Trigmatic has asked Ghanaians to try local rice and they will testify about it.
