Management of Mr. Drew, Highly Spiritual Music, has explained why their artist’s new music video was taken off YouTube.

The music video titled ‘Eat’ featuring Stonebwoy was taken off due to copyright infringement.

Mr. Drew’s ‘Eat’ has been reportedly taken off due to samples of two songs titled “In my bed ft. Wale” and “Love Riddim” by Nigerian-American actor, singer and model, Rotimi.

Fans who try to watch Mr. Drew’s music video are hit with the message of a suspension of the art piece.

Responding to the news of the block on YouTube, Highly Spiritual Music stated that there was miscommunication between their publishers and the copyright agents of Rotimi.

“There was a little miscommunication between our digital publisher and that of Rotimi’s which caused them to block the video on copyright grounds”, the press statement by the label read.

Highly Spiritual Music also debunked claim of sampling without permission by saying Mr. Drew’s song is only a ‘cover or revival’.
