One of the most popular artists in Ashaiman, Yaa Pono, has condemned the recent attack on singer Kelvyn Boy.
The ‘Afrobeats’ hit maker was attacked by a man when the singer joined Electroland Ghana Limited (EGL) for the opening of a new branch in Ashaiman.
Reacting to the incident on social media, Yaa Pono expressed his disappointment over the violence.
“This is stupid and should not happen #noviolence,” he wrote.
“Ino be plenty talk… @kelvynboymusic_ this thing must stop with full effect I tell u, nonsense”, he added.
Meanwhile, some fans believe the attack is linked with Kelvyn’s ‘beef’ with Stonebwoy.
However, in a press release issued by Burniton Music, the label described attempts to draw Stonebwoy into the matter as scandalous.
Management of Stonebwoy also stated that none of the people involved in the scuffle including the artist’s supposed bodyguard have ever been employed by Stonebwoy.
The singer said he is focusing on promoting the positive image of Ghana through his ‘Anloga Junction’ album and wouldn’t allow such calculated attempts distract him.
Management added that they have instructed their lawyers to take on the necessary legal action regarding the matter.
