Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the brutal lynching of a 26-year-old Liberian man at Lashibi.
The suspects, Francis Amuzu, 44, William Adison, 36, and Vincent Adzikah, 34, are currently in custody at the Sakumono District Police Command, assisting with investigations.
The victim, identified as Austin Tengeeh, was set upon by a mob on Thursday, 27 February 2026, and severely beaten.
According to a police situational report, officers responding to a distress call found Tengeeh unconscious at the scene, with visible injuries to his head and neck.
He was rushed to the Sakumono Community Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Preliminary investigations suggest the mob may have mistaken the Liberian national for a thief.
Meanwhile, the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team from National Police Headquarters has joined the investigation and is hunting for additional suspects believed to have participated in the killing.
The victim’s body has been deposited at the Sakumono Community Hospital mortuary, as authorities work with diplomatic missions to notify his family.
