Lawyers of Pastor Brian Amoateng issued a statement to demand a retraction and apology from two Ghanaian blogs, ghanacelebrities.com and yen.com.gh for publishing what they call defamatory articles about their client.

The two blogs published the said articles about the pastor after Afia Schwarzenegger alleged that the marriage between Akua Ghana Most Beautiful and Dr Kwaku Oteng had collapsed after the husband discovered the wife had been cheating on him.

According to the video recording from Afia, only a ‘Pastor Amoateng’ was mentioned, but the two blogs somehow assumed that pastor, was Brian Amoateng.

“In the said videos, no mention was made of our clients and consequently it is most regrettable for your portal to link the said publication to our clients and further use their pictures without their notice or consent,” a portion of a notice sent to the publishers read.

“It is our respectful position that your publication was made with the sole of aim of bringing into disrepute, the hard-earned credentials of our clients, to ridicule them in the eyes of right-thinking members of the Ghanaian society and beyond and mischievously reduce their integrity and put their reputation which they have built within their pastoral life into dishonor, contempt, and reproach for their church and family,” it added while calling for a retraction and apology.

The two blogs have since rendered an unqualified apology to the man of God.

Ghanacelebrities.com says it erroneously made conclusions, whilst yen.com.gh is asking Pastor Amoateng to take “into consideration Matthew 6:14-15, which says: ‘for if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive your sins’.”
