Communication Minister and Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West constituency Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has caused the shut down of MTN Dansoman Zodiac branch.
The MP got furious when she spotted residents failing to observe social distancing protocol at the MTN office.
In a video that is circulating on social media, the MP is seen fuming at the crowd that had gathered.
Ursula Owusu-Ekuful after chastising the crowd for failing to observe social distancing, proceeded to scold the MTN branch manager.
The MP said she was disappointed in MTN for allowing such an act within their premises in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
In a Facebook post, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, announced that the branch has been shut.
She added that the office will only be opened after the company corrects it’s mistake.
“This is the scene at the MTN office at Dansoman Zodiac right now. Absolutely no respect for social distancing. They have been shut down and will not be allowed to operate till they have better arrangements in place. Reputable corporate organization like this should not be flouting the law and creating conditions for the virus to spread”,she wrote.
