Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson went on a Twitter rant to question the celebration of Ghana’s Independence Day.
The country marked 63 years since its independence on March 6, 2020.
Yvonne Nelson claimed that though the country is celebrating 63 years of independence from colonial rule, Ghana is not truly independent.
“Goodmorning, 63 what? Ok Just so you know, we aren’t independent” she wrote on Twitter.
Shortly after that, she added that “we’ve never been independent”.
Knowing very well that her tweets will be met with jabs, the actress advised the youth to contribute to the discussion without insults.
She encouraged social media users who might respond to her tweet to use their data bundle wisely.
“You insult under my posts? Insults are played out …… share some knowledge.! Use your little 2ghc data wisely!” she tweeted.
