Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, on Saturday, January 17, attended the swearing-in ceremony of Guinean President, General Mamadi Doumbouya, in Conakry.
The event brought together several Heads of State and Government, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of regional and international organisations.
A statement from the Office of the Vice President said the visit underscored Ghana’s commitment to strengthening regional and historical ties, as well as promoting peace and stability within West Africa.

On behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang congratulated President Doumbouya and reaffirmed Ghana’s readiness to collaborate with Guinea to advance regional integration, trade, security cooperation, and people-to-people relations within the frameworks of ECOWAS and the African Union.
