Mrs Christiana Agyapong, the wife of Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, one of the Election 2028 Presidential hopefuls of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged the delegates to vote for her husband for his passion for development, job creation and youth empowerment.
She emphasised that her husband’s passion for development remained unparalleled, saying with Mr Agyapong, also a former Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, as the NPP’s Election 2028 flagbearer, the party could easily regain political power.
The largest opposition NPP has set January 31, 2026, for the Presidential Primary to elect the party’s Election 2028 flagbearer
Mrs Agyapong, a government led by his husband would strengthen the implementation of the human centered policies and programmes of the previous administration and thereby create job opportunities for the youth.
She gave the advice when she addressed female polling station organisers, secretaries, chairpersons as well as former women constituency organisers and electoral area coordinators of the NPP at Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Bono Region.
Mrs Agyapong said she was in the area to canvas votes for her husband and addressed similar campaigns at Nkrankwanta in the Dormaa West and Wamfie in the Dormaa East constituencies in the region.
She said: “My husband is competent and has earned an enviable reputation in the business community, creating more job opportunities for the youth. His philanthropic activities are glaring for all to see.”
Describing the aspirant as extremely generous, Mrs Agyapong said her husband procured a standard generator for Tamale Hospital, helped in the evacuation of 1,000 Ghanaians from Lebanon and provided hospital beds and mattresses to many health facilities nationwide.
“My husband loves extending kindness and support to any person, irrespective of their background,” adding that: “In fact my husband is the most favourable and best candidate to lead the NPP in the Election 2028.”
Mr Siaka Stephen, a former Bono Deputy Regional Minister, also Council Chairman of the Bono Regional Campaign Team of Mr Agyapong, urged the delegates to make informed decisions and vote for the aspirant when they go to the polls next year.
