The Volta River Authority (VRA) has donated four solid waste collection containers to the Biakoye District Assembly to boost waste management in the district.
The Authority also donated exercise books and mathematical sets to selected schools in the district, and the beneficiary schools, including Nkonya Ntsumuru Evangelical Presbyterian primary and Junior high school and Bowiri Kwame-Krom D/A primary school.
The donation was made on January 28, this year, following a request by the District Chief Executive, Mr Eric Kwaku Opong.

Leader of the VRA Team, Mrs Rhoda Arthur, reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to promoting a clean environment.
Mr Eric Kwaku Opong, thanked the VRA and assured the containers would be used effectively to reduce waste management in the area and beyond.

The donation was part of VRA’s efforts to support community development in areas it operates.
The Biakoye District Assembly praised VRA’s gesture, which aligns with its waste management goals.
