Mr. William Kpormatsi, a businessman and politician, has donated sets of football jerseys and 28 balls towards the upcoming Avenor Tutudoza Football Gala.
It forms part of the activities lined up for the Festival celebrations.
The Gala would feature 28 teams drawn from the various 28 Electoral Areas within the Traditional Area.
Mr Kpormatsi, presenting the items in Accra reaffirmed his commitment to fostering development across Avenor, particularly in areas that engaged the youth positively and strengthened community bonds.
Mr Raphael Ahiable, the Presiding Member of the Akatsi South Municipal Assembly and a CPC member together with other members who witnessed the donation, expressed their appreciation to Mr Kpormatsi for his continuous support towards youth development and community activities.
He noted that such gestures would not only promote unity and sportsmanship among the youth but also contribute to the overall success of the Festival.
The 2025 ‘Avenor Tutudoza’ Football Gala is expected to kick off on November 8 with the grand finale on Sunday, November 30.
It would set the stage for exciting matches and a strong display of local talent and teamwork.
The festival, to be preceded by several activities, is on the theme, “Securing the Future of Avenor through Skills Acquisition, Employment and Economic Growth.”
It would be climaxed by a grand durbar on Saturday, November 29 at the Akatsi Central Market lorry station.
Avenor Tutudoza is celebrated by the Chiefs and people of Avenor, serving as an invitation to all sons and daughters of Avenor, as well as no-indigenes, to visit and witness the community’s vibrancy, and support all efforts in building a better Traditional Area.
