Northern region-based music star, Abu Sadiq, has warned young artists against the composition of beef songs as well as profane songs.
In an interview with Oyokodehye Kofi on Highlife Time on CTV, the traditional singer told young artists of today that they might not be happy to hear their beef songs in the future when they grow old.
“One day, you’ll become an old man, so what you are sowing, that is what you are going to reap. So if you are into these profane songs or beef songs, the songs are going to follow you..”
“So if you are thinking about composing songs, think about your future. When you grow old and they are playing your songs, how will you feel?”, he quizzed.
Abu Sadiq rather encouraged the composition of songs that will positively impact society.
“One day you will also have children…so it is not good for you that because you don’t have a child then you spoil the whole atmosphere…so they should try and sing songs that will give hope for the future’, he said.
Abu Sadiq has mounted almost all the major event platforms in the North with his popular tunes like “Diman Nyaaga”,
“Nduma” among others.
