The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) arrested a major alleged drug dealer known as โMotherโ during a targeted raid in Budumburam on Friday, January 16.
The operation, which forms part of NACOCโs nationwide anti-drug campaign, resulted in the arrest of 32-year-old Rebecca Afia Naa Dei Kotei.
Described by local sources as a key figure in the illicit drug trade, the suspect had long evaded authorities and was a known target of NACOC intelligence and surveillance teams.

โThe successful exercise is in line with our sustained crackdown on drug trafficking and abuse,โ a NACOC statement noted.

The raid led to the seizure of substantial quantities of suspected cannabis, tramadol, and other controlled substances, alongside paraphernalia indicative of drug peddling activities.

NACOC officials indicated that the commission had acted on multiple public complaints regarding the suspectโs alleged nefarious activities.

Several other individuals were also arrested during the operation for their suspected involvement.

The Commission has reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing a drug-free Ghana and assured the public that all suspects from this operation will be duly processed for court in accordance with the law.
