A rescue team from the Nkawkaw station arrived at the scene by 10:49 p.m., discovering the vehicle severely mangled.

Due to the scale of the wreckage, a joint operation was launched involving firefighters from both the Nkawkaw and Mpraeso stations.

The team worked alongside the National Ambulance Service and the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) to extricate victims from the mangled minibus and manage the flow of traffic on the steep mountain stretch.

MTTD personnel have since cleared the debris and moved the vehicle for further investigation.

While the exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined, the road is notorious for its sharp curves and steep descent.
