A disabled Form One student of the Opoku Ware Senior High School has had the opportunity to receive further education, courtesy of the president’s ‘Free SHS’ policy.
The young man is said to have been born disabled to a trader mother and a father who absconded after a second disabled child was born into the family.

Evidently, but for the Free SHS policy there wa no way this young man, who gained aggregate 8 in last year’s BECE had a chance to further his education.
His dreams would have ended because his mother could have afforded to pay his admission fee and subsequent fees.
The unidentified young man had his stars smile on him when an Katakyie in the US donated a new wheelchair and an amount of GHS1000 to the him.

He also had the distinct pleasure of meeting the President at the school’s our 68th anniversary speech day, when he presented the wheelchair and the cash on behalf of the said Katakyie to him.
