In a society where being gay or transgender is greatly frowned upon, one would imagine how much courage it takes to boldly embrace whichever path these individuals have chosen to thread.

The term transgender simply describes denoting or relating to a person whose sense of personal identity and gender does not correspond with their birth sex.

35-year old Maxwell Okyere Opoku has bared it all out in an interview, about how he slowly transformed into a woman. According to him, this was to help him fit what he believes is his true identity.

Maxwell, who prefers to be called Angel Maxine now, says at the age of 32, she realized she was never meant to be a man and was battling with being trapped in a woman’s body.

Angel says she has done a great majority of what it takes to make the transformation, except for the procedure to change her reproductive organ.

She says, she will get this done when she has enough funds to undergo the procedure.
