WHO Director-General applauds Nana Addo for powerful speech

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, World Health Organisation’s Director-General, has commended His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo for what he calls a powerful speech to the world.

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was referring to a statement made by the president whilst delivering his fourth address to the nation on the coronavirus disease.

President Akufo-Addo in his address announcing a partial lockdown to the nation on Friday 27th March said “We know how to bring the economy back to life. What we do not know is how to bring people back to life”.

Very impressed by the speech the WHO Director-General said that President Nana Akufo-Addo’s “powerful” address will lead towards a “healthier, safer, fairer world.”
