Covid-19: Ghana records 542 new cases, total now 11,964

At least 542 more people in Ghana have tested positive for coronavirus, President Nana Akufo-Addo has announced.

The latest figures bring the number of confirmed cases, so far, to 11,964 with 4,258 recoveries.

The total number of active cases currently stands at 7,652 with three more people losing their lives.

The president during a televised address Sunday night on measures his administration is taking to fight Covid-19 said 13 people are critically ill while three others are on ventilators.

He added that it is important to follow through the efforts made to control the spread of the virus adding that people should adhere to the health protocols.
