Gold export company Brenley Quartz says the bulk cash in a video that recently went viral belongs to its entity.
The said video attracted wide political condemnation across the media landscape because many believed the cash belonged to a government official for campaign purposes.
It’s been discovered that the Gold export company is located in Osu, behind the main Kingdom Books Stationery building around Ako Adjei park.
Richard Appiah Baah, who recently passed on, was captured alongside other workers of the company packing bundles of cash in the viral video.
A report by GhanaReport indicates that Brenley Quartz is registered with the Registrar General as a legal entity with Registration Number: CS052402019 and February 22, 2019 as the date of business incorporation.
Operations of Gold dealership firms are regularly characterized with deposits and withdrawals of large sums of money from the bank for business transactions.
A staff of the company, Amadu Haruna, who is also usually part of the bulk cash pick up from the bank for onward purchase of gold from small scale miners expressed surprise upon seeing the video go viral.
He believes Richard Appiah Baah’s phone, which contained those images may have been circulated by a supposed buyer whom he swapped his phone with for an upgrade.
