A candidate in the running to become a district assembly member in the upcoming District Assembly Election organised by the Electoral Commission has gone viral for the truckload of promises he is making to his constituents.
Nana Adabor Ibrahim Issah Ampim, has become very popular after a video of him making these campaign promises to the electorates of his area went viral on social media. Nana is campaigning to represent the people of Nima Adukrom in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Nana, popularly known as Aponkye, has promised to provide free breakfast for his people each morning, give each house a free tricycle (better known as aboboyaa) for refuse collection, pay the unemployed members of the community GH₵20 each day as salaries and also provide free religious education for Muslim kids, amongst other things.
Aponkye believes these promises are highly attainable and he will make them a reality, should his people vote for him in the December 17th Assembly Elections
