2019 winners of the nation’s hottest quiz competition, the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) St Augustine’s College has had to bow out of the competition after being slain by the Kaneshie kingpins, Accra Academy.
In a fierce and keenly battled competition, the Augusco boys showed strong commitment to retaining the cup and making the Central Region proud.
However, fate will have it otherwise as the Accra Academy boys gave them a run from their money.
After leading in all nearly every round of the competition, it was obvious the Kaneshie boys did not come to play.
The two boys schools battled it out in a tie at the last round and Academy picking the tie breaker riddle put them in the lead.
Accra Academy: 53points
St. Augustine’s College:50pts
Kumasi Sec Tech Sch:38pts#NSMQ
This means, Augusco joins the likes of Mfantsipim, Wesley Girls High School, Holy Child School and others as spectators for the rest of the competition.
